That the Peter in the story was willing to give Walter his heart, and therefore sacrifice his life is also a pretty easy metaphor for the fact that the real Peter gave up a life of wandering to stay with his father in Boston. By the same token, that he turned away from his boss was a reflection of the same way Walter sees his son turning away from him. It also brings back the very same ethical dilemma the show has been wrestling with since it first aired: until what cost is doing good still good
Many people consider pro wrestling to be a perfect combination of athletic sports with the drama of soap operas. So, it made total sense in 2013 when WWE started producing reality television shows, beginning with Total Divas. That spawned a spin-off in Total Bellas and then came Miz & Mrs.
After seeing MMA-fighter Shelby Marx win the female CFC-title as the youngest person ever, Carly jokingly challenges her to a fight on \"iCarly.\" However, the paparazzi twists the fake-challenge to make it seem like Carly really is challenging Shelby. Much to Carly's horror, Shelby shows up at the apartment, saying she's ready to fight. Carly ends up running away from her knowing that she is going to get beat up. Shelby assures her that she's not angry nor offended by Carly's challenge, and simply wants to hold an exhibition match with her for publicity and charity for both of them. Although Carly is deeply worried about it, she agrees when Shelby and Sam assure her that she won't get hurt.
As Fry, Bender and the Professor travel further into the future, however, it becomes clear that there is no clear way for them to return, pulling Fry further away from the object of his affection and providing the episode with an underlying narrative tension that really evokes the feeling of being yanked further and further away from a loved one.
The Late Philip J. Fry works so well because it uses time travel as a device to tell a more meaningful and intimate story while also exhibiting a raft of surreally possible futures ranging from giraffes enslaving humans to a post-apocalyptic wasteland. As is so often the case with Futurama, multiple distinct layers are always co-existing side-by-side, an undercurrent of sincerity and warmth playing under the superficial sci-fi trappings, all bolstered by a uniquely brilliant sense of humour. 781b155fdc
